A case of cow smuggling was unveiled, and an encounter occurred between cow smugglers and the police in the Kumher area of Deeg district, Bharatpur. Based on the reports from Amar Ujala, in an attempt to evade the police, the smugglers’ car collided with a shop, resulting in injuries to all four smugglers. The police promptly admitted the injured to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment in the jail ward. All the smugglers are residents of Palwal district in Haryana.
Sub-Inspector Krishnaveer of Kumher Police Station reported that a police checkpoint had been set up near Sent village. A Swift car approached the checkpoint, and when signaled to stop, the driver sped towards Kumher. The Kumher police, along with the Deeg DST team, chased the Swift car.

Based on the reports from Dainik Bhaskar, during the chase, the smugglers threw a cow out of the moving car onto the road in an attempt to escape. Despite their efforts, the police continued to pursue them. The smugglers’ car eventually crashed into a ferro cover and iron angles in front of a shop near the government hospital in Kumher. All four smugglers in the car sustained injuries.
The police immediately transported the injured smugglers to Kumher hospital, from where they were referred to RBM Hospital in Bharatpur. The injured Islamist smugglers, identified as Robin, son of Ishw Palwal; Irfan, son of Himmat; Mubarik, son of Imay; and Tasleem, son of Jagroo, are all residents of Palwal, Haryana. Their treatment is ongoing in the jail ward.
This incident in Bharatpur is part of a broader pattern of increased cow smuggling activity across Bharat. In West Bengal, similar operations have been observed, with the Border Security Force (BSF) recently apprehending two Bangladeshi cow smugglers in Coochbehar and recovering 44 cows in two days. The resurgence of these smuggling networks, often involving Islamist groups, raises serious concerns about the systematic targeting of cows, which hold profound religious significance for Hindus. These coordinated efforts by law enforcement agencies underscore the importance of vigilance and swift action in curbing this illegal trade and protecting cultural and religious values.
