BSF jawans detained 2 Bangladeshi cow smugglers from two different outposts areas of the Bharat-Bangladesh International borders of Coochbehar district of West Bengal. They illegally entered Bharat to smuggle cows into Bangladesh.
On the night of the 14th of January, on-duty BSF jawans caught a smuggler named Sahidul Islam from Changrabandha. BSF jawans detained him when he was returning to Bangladesh with a cow. During primary interrogation, the smuggler said he was a resident of Patgram of Lalmonirhat district of Bangladesh.
On the same night, in another incident, BSF jawans caught another Bangladeshi cow smuggler from the Haldibari area.
As per the information, on Sunday night, residents of Dangapara village chased a group of Bangladeshi cow smugglers. While others fled by crossing the Buri Tista River, villagers caught a smuggler. Later, villagers handed over the smuggler to the BSF. The smuggler has been identified as Nur Nabi, a resident of Gonsaiganj of Domar. Yesterday, both were produced before the Mekhliganj Sub-divisional Court.
