Mohd Ezad, Suhan Khan, and Sabir arrested for murdering a Hindu Boy Deepak Kumar for allegedly having an affair with their sister

Police in Dankaur (Uttar Pradesh) on Wednesday arrested three Muslim boys for murder of Deepak (16), a Hindu boy from the village of Arua (Faridabad, Uttar Pradesh). The body of Deepak was found rotting in a pit eight feet deep on the bank of Yamuna River.

The three accused, Ejad (22), Suhan (23) & Shabir (24), who hails from the same village, confessed to the crime and alleged that Deepak had been teasing Suhan’s sister. Two of the arrested accused were minors.

“The accused said that the boy was teasing Suhan’s sister and that’s why he killed him,” said Ram Chander, SHO of Chhainsau police station.

According to another report, citing the police, the accused said that they suspected that the boy was having an affair with a woman in the family and that’s why Deepak was killed.

The third claim made by the accused was that they killed him because he was making comments about their family. However, the police said that the exact reason for the crime will only be known after the investigation.

On 1st March, Deepak’s elder brother, Arjun filed a missing complaint, who has been missing since 29th February. The Police filed a case under kidnapping charges and investigation was started.

The accused Muslim boys initially tried to mislead the police by saying that they had thrown the body in the Yamuna River, following which Police initiated a search operation to find the dead body. They have deployed a couple of rivers in the river.

However, further interrogation revealed that these Muslim boys murdered Deepak by strangulating him using a cloth and buried his body in an eight-foot-deep pit on the banks of the Yamuna River.

Police has registered a murder case, arrested the accused, and taken them into one-day remand after being produced before the Faridabad court. As per the reports, two accused have been sent to judicial custody and one is still being interrogated.

As per Police report, on 29th February, Ejaz had called Deepak for some work. When he did not return home for some time, the family questioned Ejaz who said that Deepak had gone with someone on a bike and he wasnt aware about the identity of the person riding the bike.

The family searched for Deepak all night but did not find him. Ejaz stayed with the family all along while trying to find Deepak, including filing a complaint and kept misleading the family and the Police.

However, the police grew suspicious and interrogated Ejaz who then confessed to the crime. The family has alleged the involvement of many more people besides the arrested accused.
