Husband says wife forcing him to convert to Christianity, missionaries using a rowdy sheeter to force conversions among Shikkaligaara Hindu community: K’taka

The Karnataka Police have registered a case against 15 persons in connection with attempts of forceful religious conversion in Hubballi city of the state, police said on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident came to light following a quarrel between a couple. The husband alleged that his wife is forcing him to convert to Christianity and refusing to live with him.

When he couldn’t take any more pressure from the wife, he had brought the matter to the notice of community leaders, he said. The members of Shikkaligaara community staged a protest before the police station and demanded conversion bids to be stopped.

The complaint mentioned that Christian missionaries are targetting the Shikkaligaara community of Hindu religion and making attempts to convert the entire society.

It is alleged that the missionaries are taking the help of local rowdy sheeter Madan Bugudi to pressure people to leave Hindu religion and get converted to Christianity.

The police have filed a complaint against Madan Bugudi and 14 others in connection with forceful religious conversions and taken up the matter for investigation.

  1. Two dastardly acts were done recently, one in the North and the other in the deep-down South of India in the district of Coimbatore, in Tamilnadu state. The press and mass media, supposed to be one of the pillars of our democracy, strangely and it appears deliberately followed the principle of three monkeys, all in the name of democracy and principle of Secularism.
In the North, a woman by name Shraddha was cut down in 35 pieces and killed and there was no hue and cry by the press. Nor by any so-called secular press, which always take pride in defending the rights of people. It appears that the press before investigating the gruesome murder and the most uncivilised act, having seen the name of the person, who had committed the barbarian act, have concluded it to be an affair connected with love and others decided to find fault with the parents of the girl, who decided to cross the Lakshman-rekha for not having allowed the girl to marry the boy of her choice. We often hear people saying, show the person and will show the rule. With respect to press in our country, tell me the name of the person, I will write the story accordingly for the mass media. The press in the name of Secularism, seems to have a separate rule for one set of persons and completely different for other set of persons or community. In the process, the truth is either destroyed or covered up. If it had happened other way around, the entire world would have screamed with breaking news, headlines, discussions and human rights would have given a call for thorough investigation and would rank India as the lowest in human rights!
The other incident is the cylinder blast, which took place in Coimbatore in front of a temple. The Tamilnadu government seemed to have collected all garbage and swept it under a carpet in the name of secularism. The state government in order to protect their vote bank, shockingly dismissed the cylinder blast as an ordinary blast without seeing the terror angle. The state government refused to say anything about the incident for nearly 48 hours, but the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Stalin had issued a statement and expressed his sympathy with the families of those, who have died in a bridge collapse in Gujarat. Even, when Mr. Annamalai, the state BJP leader had demanded thorough investigation and called it as terror blast, no leader in the ruling DMK alliance expressed their views. The Chief Minister was hiding behind “back-pain”. No mass media, no press had come out openly in the state and called for a thorough investigation, barring a few. It appears to be Divine blessing; the heavy casualties were averted. Otherwise, it would have been another worst terror blast.
