How Christian missionaries brainwash TN people by denying the existence of Hindu Dharma

Tamil Nadu is in the news for all the wrong reasons these days. After the eradicate Sanatana Dharma remark by Udhayanidhi Stalin went viral and received condemnation from all over the country, old videos of Christian missionaries’ sermons are making an appearance once again.

Christian missionaries have had a deep history with Tamil Nadu. From the myth of St. Thomas to imitating Hindu rituals at churches, Christian missionaries have shamelessly continued advancing their conversion tactics.

One of the ways that such brainwashing occurs is through sermons and speeches. They are also notorious church planters – they build a church next to a temple (the older the temple, the better). Some of the popular faces who are seen regularly with the leaders of the ruling dispensation in Tamil Nadu include Bishop Ezra Sargunam, Bro Mohan C Lazarus, Sadhu Chellappa of Agni Ministries, “Rev. Fr” Jegath Gaspar Raj, Bro Bhaskar Doss of Christuva Brahmana Samiti (Christian organisation for Brahmins). Here are the transcribed translated portions of the videos. All these videos show these preachers talking about how there was no religion called Hinduism that it was St. Thomas and Christianity that existed before, and that Hinduism was a very recent occurrence.

Christian Missionaries and their agenda – Deny existence of Hindu Dharma

Mohan C Lazarus

Lazarus is a Christian preacher/evangelist who runs the Jesus Redeems Ministries. The website says, “Previously Vision 2020 was given by God to reach 10 million souls by 2020 and it was fulfilled. After the fulfillment of Vision 2020, God has given Vision 2030 to Share Gospel to 50 Crore people and 5 Crore to be led to Salvation.”

In this video, he is seen talking about Tamil Nadu’s temples and says, “The Thanjavur Big Temple is the oldest Hindu temple; it is 1000 years old, and history says so. Only after that were the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple, and Rameshwaram temple, all big temples with big gopurams (towers), and majestic ones were built later. They have built such big temples, we can’t even imagine, but every one of them is less than 1000 years old. But St Thomas came to India 2000 years back. If you look at the history, the Gospel had arrived in India much before these temples were built. History says that when St. Thomas came here, there was no religion called Hinduism. It came after that.” –

Bishop Ezra Sargunam

Sargunam is a Christian preacher/evangelist who served as the Bishop of the Evangelical Church of India (ECI) in Tamil Nadu. He is often seen with members of the DMK

In a TV debate with a Hindu, Sargunam contends that this is a Christian Nation. “There is no religion called Hinduism. 200 years ago, there was no religion that was called Hinduism.”

In another video, he is seen giving a sermon to his followers. He says,

“Sages have said that there is no religion called Hinduism. We are talking all this in this room but it is something that must be talked about outside. Only 200 years ago, there was a big confusion for census takers. 100 years ago, in 1901, it was a big confusion for the census takers. Who should be classified as Hindus? They were very confused. So what was the decision made? Sundaram Iyengar was also a member of that committee. What everyone decided was that whoever was not a Christian, whoever was a Muslim, whoever was a Sikh, a Buddhist, let them be Hindus. So, what Sundaram Iyengar said was that we cannot accept Scheduled Castes and tribal people; they are not Hindus.

So tell me, who worships the Brahmin priests? The good Brahmins. I don’t know if there are bad Brahmins too. Whoever accepted them are Hindus. Like this, 50% of the people in the country said they are not Hindus; now for election’s sake, they are all Hinduized now. The rest of the people are not Hindus. So, Hinduism is a very artificial religion. There is no such religion. Take that challenge in your hands and say all this. Take inputs from Dr. Babu Varghese, who will give you the truth; you all tell them. There is no such religion in India; you are cheating the people. Say it. If you don’t say it… what I would say is punch them in the face a couple of times, dont worry about it, God will forgive you. Tell them, what to do; I got a little angry. Punch them in the face, make them bleed a little and, ask God for forgiveness, and continue your work. Because it is an unshakeably great truth.”

Sadhu Chellappa

Eva. Sadhu Chellappa used to run the Agni Ministries. He was an evangelist who distorted the Hindu scriptures. His organisation and attire give us an impression that he may be Hindu, a Christian evangelist masquerading as a sadhu. In this video, he is seen giving a sermon to his followers about Hinduism not existing before Christ.

He says, “A lot of writings like Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, or Upanishads which do not have the names of Indian Gods of present days. In the days of the Vedic period, there was no religion like the Hindu religion. This Hindu religion, the name Hindu, was given to a particular religion; this was very late – not before Christ but after Christ.”

Rev.Fr Jegath Gaspar Raj

Jegath Gaspar is a Chennai-based Catholic priest who founded Tamil Maiyam, a cultural organisation, and co-created the Chennai Sangamam festival along with DMK MP Kanimozhi. During the final stages of Eelam War IV in 2009, he played a role as an intermediary between the LTTE and the Tamil Nadu Government (DMK).

He posts several YouTube videos, and in this one, he says the British introduced the word Hindu to us, and it is only 200 years old.

“The word Hinduism is itself a difficult/complex one. This is because, 200 years ago, the whites/British introduced the word Hindu to us. The word Hindu thus is only 200 years old.”

Bro Bhaskar Doss

Just when you thought Christianity had no caste system, the Christuva Brahmana Samiti makes an appearance. Bhaskar Doss does not seem to be a Brahmin, but it is alleged that the organisation targets Hindu Brahmins for its conversion agenda. The basis of the conversion is said to be the use of Hindu scriptures to introduce Christ to Hindus.

In this sermon, Bhaskar Doss says, “Before the communion of Christ began, there was no time for the belief of God in India in the olden days. What they say the Veda was written in classical Sanskrit based on the evidence we have today. They were found to be from the 2nd century BC. Before 1 century BC, there was no belief in God in India. Jainism and Buddhism do not have the theory of God as its principles. Vedas are just about worship. It is not possible to define how and when the development of the belief in God happened in India. So when we look at this, the good news of Jesus Christ was brought by his direct disciple Thomas, and only after that did the faith in God grow in India.”

With these videos, we have just scratched the surface of the decades-long conversion agenda of the Christian missionaries. There is still a lot of evidence floating on the internet. Every Hindu must take it upon themselves to fight against these rabid Christian missionaries and safeguard our culture, country, and future generations of Hindus.
