In a shocking and tragic incident, a young man was shot dead at his girlfriend’s house in Hasanapur village, located in the Pali police station area of Hardoi district. Based on the reports from Amar Ujala, the police have launched an investigation into the matter.
The deceased, identified as Gaurav Singh (28), was found dead with a gunshot wound between his chest and abdomen. A country-made pistol was discovered near his body. The incident came to light when the girl’s father, Sarvesh Khan, visited Gaurav’s home and informed his father, Santosh Singh, about the body lying in their house.
According to Gaurav’s elder brother, Akhilesh Singh, Gaurav had been living in Jaipur, where he worked as a contractor for a catering service. He was involved in a romantic relationship with a 16-year-old muslim girl from the same village. On May 21, Gaurav allegedly lured the girl away with him. Following this, on May 25, Islamist Sarvesh lodged a complaint against Gaurav, accusing him of abducting his daughter. The police eventually located the pair on June 2 and arrested Gaurav, who was then sent to jail. After being released on bail on July 6, Gaurav immediately returned to Jaipur.
However, on the night of August 19, Gaurav’s body was found at the girl’s house, with a fatal gunshot wound. The circumstances surrounding his death have raised several questions, and the incident is being treated with utmost seriousness.
Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun inspected the crime scene and confirmed that a case has been registered against Islamist Sarvesh Khan, his sons Shahnoor, Mainoor, and Izaad, along with his son-in-law, Karim, who hails from Karimpur in Shahjahanpur district. The case is being thoroughly investigated, and the police are working to uncover the truth behind this tragic event.
The Hardoi Police released a press note stating that on the night of August 19, 2024, around midnight, Pali Police Station received information about the discovery of the body of Gaurav Singh, son of Santosh Singh, aged 28, at the residence of Sarvesh Khan, son of Kader, in Hasanapur village within the Pali police station area. Upon receiving this information, the Pali police, along with the Circle Officer of Shahabad, promptly arrived at the scene. The Superintendent of Police, Hardoi, also inspected the crime scene later that night. At the site, a 0.315 bore country-made pistol, a spent cartridge, a live cartridge found in the deceased’s pants pocket, and a bag were discovered near the body. The body was subsequently taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination, which was conducted on August 20, 2024, with video recording by a panel of doctors. The cause of death was identified as “shock and hemorrhage due to an antemortem firearm injury.”
The press note further revealed that Gaurav Singh had previously been involved in a case where he was accused of abducting the minor daughter of Islamist Sarvesh Khan, leading to the registration of Case No. 231/24 under Sections 363/366/506 IPC at Pali Police Station. During the investigation, Gaurav Singh was arrested and sent to judicial custody, with a charge sheet filed in court. After his release on bail, Gaurav had moved to Jaipur for work. On August 19, 2024, without informing his family, he went directly to Sarvesh Khan’s house, where his body was later found under suspicious circumstances. Based on a complaint from the deceased’s family, a murder case (Case No. 378/2024) has been registered at Pali Police Station under Section 103(2) BNS.
Given these developments, Sarvesh Khan has emerged as a primary suspect in the case. The sequence of events, combined with the pre-existing animosity between the two parties, has led many to believe that Gaurav Singh’s death was not a coincidence but a deliberate act of violence by the Islamist Sarvesh Khan. As the investigation continues, all eyes are on the authorities to uncover the truth and bring justice to the Hindu victim and his family.
Hindus are increasingly finding themselves under threat from multiple fronts, caught in a disturbing trend where religious tensions are leading to tragic outcomes. Recently, in Raebareli, UP, a minor Hindu girl tragically committed suicide after discovering that Tauheed, who had posed as “Janu Mishra,” deceived her into a love affair. The phenomenon of “love jihad,” where Hindu girls are allegedly being targeted, converted, and sometimes even killed after marriage, has raised alarms within the community. On the other side of the spectrum, when a Hindu man is involved with a girl from an Islamist background, he too may find himself the target of violence, as seen in recent cases where such relationships have ended in murder.
