Raebareli, UP: Tauheed pretends to be Janu Mishra, traps a minor Hindu girl in love affair, girl commits suicide after realising truth

In a tragic incident from the Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh, a case of deception and harassment surfaced, resulting in the suicide of a minor Hindu girl. Based on the reports from OpIndia, the accused, Islamist Tauheed, allegedly misled the girl by assuming the false identity of a Hindu man named Janu Mishra. Upon discovering Tauheed’s true identity, the victim took her own life.

The girl’s father lodged an FIR at Kheero Police Station on July 15, 2024, implicating Islamist Tauheed, his brother Tasleem alias Chhotu, and their father Lallan. The FIR, numbered 0283, was filed under IPC sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 506 (criminal intimidation). Despite filing the complaint, the family has alleged that the police were initially reluctant to take action, prompting the father to seek the intervention of the Superintendent of Police.

According to the victim’s father, Ramprakash Tiwari, his daughter was a student in the 11th grade at Saraswati Inter College, Kheero. Approximately a year ago, Tauheed, posing as Janu Mishra, began approaching her on her way to school. The deception continued until February 1, when the girl learned Tauheed’s true identity and subsequently committed suicide.

The complaint in the FIR alleges that the accused, Islamist Tauheed, deceived the complainant’s daughter by engaging her in a romantic relationship under the false identity of Janu Mishra, a Hindu name. After discovering Tauheed’s true identity, the complainant’s daughter took her own life on February 1st of this year. At that time, the police conducted Panchayat Nama proceedings.

A few days later, when the victim’s father confronted Islamist Tauheed at his residence to complain about the incident, Tauheed, his brother Tasleem (also known as Chhotu), and their father Lallan verbally abused him, chased him away, and threatened to kill him if he pursued legal action. Intimidated by their threats, the father initially refrained from filing a case. However, he has now filed a complaint, requesting the police to register the case and take strict action.

Meanwhile, OpIndia has reported a video statement from the victim’s younger sister. In the video, she explains that her sister frequently communicated with a boy who introduced himself as Janu Mishra but was actually a Muslim. One day, her sister insisted on going shopping in Kheero, where they met the boy. The younger sister recalls, “My sister said he was Janu Mishra and wanted us to go with him. When I asked where we were going, he said he planned to marry my sister and that we would live together because our father wouldn’t approve of their relationship.”

The younger sister, who is currently in the 8th grade, added that their father, accompanied by a few men, later caught Tauheed. Some men identified him as an Islamist youth from Jainapur, but her sister continued to assert that he was Janu Mishra. Others persuaded their father to let Tauheed go, suggesting that pursuing the matter could complicate his daughter’s future marriage prospects.

The younger sister, also a minor, reported that she received death threats from Tauheed and his younger brother whenever she went to school. When asked about her sister, she confirmed that her sister had committed suicide. She mentioned that when they initially approached the police, officers assured them that action would be taken and asked them to proceed with the funeral rituals. Despite daily calls from the police, no action has been taken so far.

The disturbing pattern of Islamists targeting Hindu minor girls through deceitful tactics reveals a deeply troubling issue. By concealing their true identities and posing under false Hindu names, these individuals manipulate the trust and emotions of their victims. In UP, Islamist Qadir, a hotel roti maker, brutally murdered his girlfriend, Jyoti, and in another case, Islamist Faiz Malik posed as Ankit Thakur to befriend & rape a Hindu minor orphan in Kanpur, UP. These incidents highlight Islamist predatory tactics to manipulate minor Hindus, and authorities have failed to take necessary actions. These cases highlight serious concerns about predatory behavior against Hindus and the need for authorities to take decisive action.
