Islamist atrocity and attacks on Hindus have reached new levels of horror in the Hajuri (spelt Hazuri in some media sources) area of Thane district in Maharashtra. Not even a month has passed since an Islamist mob of 150 desecrated a Hindu Mandir in Hajuri and also molested a Hindu woman who had gone shopping for vegetables.
According to reports, a few days ago, a Hanuman Mandir in Hajuri was desecrated by anti-Hindu elements by breaking the murti of Bhagwan Hanuman and also destroying the Mandir premises.
This agitated the local Hindus who had just recently witnessed the violence and barbarism of Islamist mobs. However, the police tried to calm the Hindus and maintain law and order.
According to a report by Aapka Prahar Times, the local Hindu organizations mobilized people and chanted Hanuman Chalisa in front of the desecrated Mandir and demanded strict action against the culprits. They demanded that the Hanuman murti be reinstated with proper rituals of pran pratishtha. Local Hindu leader Vijay Tripathi spoke to the media and expressed his deep anguish about the incident. He elaborated on the pathetic situation of Hindus in the country who are being suppressed with slogans of ‘Sarva dharma samabhav’. At the same time, attacks are being perpetrated against the Hindu community across Bharat.
Vijay Tripathi also spoke about the repeated atrocities by Islamists on Hindus in the area and chided the Hindu leaders who appease Islamists in the name of vote bank politics and secularism. He stated that attacks on Hindu devi-devatas will not be taken lightly. He claimed that this was the fifth such attack on Hindus in the last two months.
Attacking the administration and the supposed Hindutva BJP government in power, he called for serious action by the government to protect Hindu society and not just lip service to the voters during elections. Drawing attention to the criticality of the situation of Hindus, he warned that if such incidents continue, the area would soon turn into another Kashmir.
Desecration of Hajuri Shiva Mandir
Islamists had molested a Hindu woman who had gone to the market to buy vegetables in Hajuri in the last week of June. To save herself, the Hindu woman took refuge in a Shiva Mandir. A 150-odd Muslim mob entered the Mandir premises wearing footwear, vandalized the Mandir, and threatened her not to register a case. Allegedly, the police didn’t help and refused to register an FIR.
The local administration and state government need to take adequate measures to protect the lives and dignity of the Hindu community, which is in distress because of repeated attacks in Hajuri.
