Today morning, shadow police arrested a doctor named Aqil Mohammad Hussain and charged him with possession of the banned drug called MDMA. He was booked for consuming and selling drugs to other doctors at a ‘higher price.’ Astonishingly, the drug-addicted medic is a house surgeon at the Thrissur medical college hospital in Kerala.
Police had received prior intelligence that many doctors at the medical college were using drugs. Hussain is a native of Kozhikode and was arrested from a private hostel near the medical college. He had just 15 days left to complete his house surgency and was addicted to drugs for the past three years.
Many doctors in medical colleges are reported to be addicted to drugs. Based on the information, the hostel was raided and 2.4 grams of MDMA, LSD stamps, and empty bottles of hashish oil were also seized.
Other doctors used to come to Hussain’s room to use drugs. Upon interrogation, Hussain revealed that as many as 15 heavily addicted doctors from the medical college regularly came to his room to use drugs. They received their MDMA from Bengaluru and the hashish oil was brought from Visakhapatnam, he added. The accused is being questioned further.
Social media users highlighted this case and added that this is the real reason why our chief minister and other politicians prefer hospitals in the US when it comes to their personal health issues. It is worth noting that even as his citizens struggle with a 33% TPR caused by the Omicron, comrade Vijayan is comfortably undergoing treatment in Minnesota for an unknown ailment, using taxpayer’s money.
