Sringeri Math issued a statement calling out Dainik Jagran for spreading fake news using HH Shankaracharya’s name.

The statement highlights that Dainik Jagran was playing mischief when Hindu Samaj was set to celebrate Pran Prathishta of Prabhu Shri Ram at Ayodhya. “It has been noted that during such an occasion, certain ill-wishers of our Dharma have used the name of “www.dainikjagran.com” on social media to spread a post, which carries a photo of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peethadheeshwara. His Holiness Parampujya Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji and conveys that the Sringeri Shankaracharya, in a message, has expressed displeasure over the Pran Prathishta”, the statement said.

The statement further noted that His Holiness Shankaracharya Swamiji gave no such message, and the message was nothing but false propaganda. In its statement, Sringeri Math also asked devotees to believe only what was publicised on Math’s official website (www.sringeri.net) and Peetham’s social media platforms.

It also pointed out that Peetham’s YouTube channel had broadcast the Acharya’s message asking devotees to chant the Shri Ram Tarak Mantra for the upcoming Pran Prathista. The statement concludes by asking devotees to participate in the ceremony as suitable for them and receive the blessings of Bhagwan Ram. Dainik Jagran denied the allegations and said the post had nothing to do with its publication and websites.

However, Indian media has repeatedly peddled anti-Hindu propaganda. Pran Prathishta at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir is a long-awaited event for Hindus worldwide, and Hinduphobics are leaving no stone unturned to spoil the moment.
