DMK ally MP, a serial Hindu abuser, writes recommendation letter for VIP darshan in Sabarimala

DMK ally MP, rabid Hindu hater, Thol Thirumavalavan has written a recommendation letter to Travancore Devasthanam seeking VIP darshan facilities for his followers in Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy temple. Only a few days ago the anti-Hindu politician had said that building temples is a business.

Abusing Hindu deities and beliefs is second nature to Thol.Thirumavalavan, the chief of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi(VCK), an ally of DMK, and the Lok Sabha MP of Chidambaram constituency. An official looking letterhead in his name seeking VIP darshan facilities for his followers in Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy temple is doing rounds on social media(Hindu Post has not independently verified its authenticity). The letter asks one of Thirumavalavan’s followers Shankar, and his four friends to be accommodated to provide VIP darshan at the temple on December 16.

It has stirred the social media as Thirumavalavan is a rabid anti-Hindu politician missing no chance to abuse Hindu Dharma. As soon as the letter garnered attention netizens found an old video in which he abused Ayyappa Swamy as well. He said that Sanatana Dharma is against science and Ayyappa’s birth as a result of two men, Maha Vishnu and Bhagwan Shiva, mating is at odds with rationality. Twitter users questioned why Thirumavalavan wanted the favour of Sabarimala temple if he didn’t even believe in the deity and suggested that the Travancore Devaswom Board deny the request.

Thirumavalavan is a serial abuser and only a few days ago while speaking at a Communist book launch event he said, “Buiilding temples is a business. There is no accountability in Tirupati, Sabarimala, etc to show revenue or bills”. Now he has written seeking favours from the very temple. Even though there are doubts being cast about the authenticity of the letter, Thirumavalavan who tweets about all and sundry on Twitter has neither acknowledged nor denied having written the letter despite it circulating on social media for the past few days.

Thirumavalavan’s Anti-Hindu Tirades

He once described Hindu temples as ones having towers with vulgar figurines. He said, “If it has a dome like structure it is a mosque. if it has a tall and tower-like structure it’s a church; where there are vulgar figurines it’s a Hindu temple”.

Coming to the support of Muslims in the issue of Babar masjid, he said that major temples like Chidambaram Natarajar Swamy, Madurai Meenakshi Amman and Srirangam Ranganatha Swamy temples were originally Buddhist shrines and called for their demolition.

Once he even said that abrahamic faiths are superior because they proselytise and denigrated Hindu Dharma saying it is rejected because it has the caste system.

At another instance he deliberately misquoted Manu Smriti to insult Hindu women. He claimed that Manu Smriti calls “all the women who follow Sanatana Dharma as prostitutes”.

He advocated for splitting Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Board into Shaivite and Vaishnavite boards as there is no religion called Hindu. He has been parroting this missionary propaganda and claiming that all the major temples like Tirupati, Sabarimala in South were originally Buddhist shrines.
