Bank of India Staff Union, a communist offshoot of the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), will remember former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf at their State Conference. The former President of Pakistan will be felicitated in the state conference program in Alappuzha, Kerala, on 27 June. This was notified in the working document released by the bank union’s state assembly.
Notably, the union’s anti-Bharat stance comes when our country commemorates Kargil Victory Day. Protests are raging against the communist staff union’s treason.
Bank of India Staff Union is organising a memorial for totalitarian Pervez Musharraf on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Victory Day. In 1999, Pakistani paramilitary infiltrators disguised as Kashmiris entered Kashmir on the orders of Pakistan Army Chief Pervez Musharraf.
The Bank of India conference will be held tomorrow at Comrade Poly George Nagar in Alappuzha. This is the 23rd state conference of the union. Congress MP KC Venugopal will inaugurate the conference.

Along with honouring and commemorating many dignitaries at the conference, the former President of Pakistan has also been included. The list consists of late playback singer Vani Jayaram, television star Subi Suresh, actor Innocent, and Musharraf, who was also included.
Even after facing international diplomatic opposition, the Bharatiya Army recaptured our positions on the LoC. While 527 of our jawans were martyred, more than 4,000 Pakistanis were killed, as per former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The beating they received was such that Pakistani forces withdrew from all remaining Bharatiya positions along the LoC.
Pakistan’s Government initially claimed the infiltration was conducted entirely by the Mujahideen (Islamist holy warriors). Several months later, it acknowledged its participation by decorating some of its soldiers who died in the conflict. Sharif said Gen. Musharraf prepared the Kargil plan without his government’s knowledge.
Pakistanis selected Kargil because the terrain was conducive to the preemptive seizure of several unoccupied military positions. Since it sat atop the peaks, a defender on the high ground enjoyed advantages akin to a fortress.
Any attack to dislodge a defender from high ground in mountain warfare requires a far higher ratio of attackers to defenders, and the high altitude and freezing temperatures heightened the difficulties. The Kargil war showed the Pakistanis they miscalculated our Army’s resolve.
On 14 July 1999, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared our Army’s Operation Vijay a success, and the Kargil War officially ended on 26 July.
Born in Delhi, Musharraf had just one aim: eliminating Bharat from the map. He urged to use nuclear weapons and backstabbed Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who travelled to Lahore by bus to meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The Pakistan army staged a military coup, which allowed Musharraf to take over Pakistan as president in 2001.
Public sector bank Bank of India, with over 5,000 branches, is headquartered in Bandra, Mumbai. The government-owned bank has yet to issue any clarification in this regard. Does Bank of India MD&CEO Rajneesh Karnatak approve of his union’s treason?

Condemnable. BOI & its union must apologise to the nation. No more aid to the Kerala Government & to the Congress for supporting & innaugurating such functions. Totally unacceptable!
