Meghalaya Government had requested the Airport Authority of India to deny permission to the chartered flight of Pujaniya Shankaracharya Ji of Govardhan Math for landing in Shillong.
A thread on the Hindumisia exhibited by the Meghalaya Government.
Successive Meghalaya State Government have exhibited a mix of xenophobia & outright towards the non-Christian residents of the state, often especially singling out Hindus in addition to denying him entry, Chief Secretary D. P. Wahlang refers to him as “some elements” out to create trouble. They have also imposed section 163 (curfew) to prevent any rallies.
Cabinet Minister Paul Lyngdoh exposes the hypocrisy of the Government by claiming that people should not impose their habits of others, but Hindus are not allowed to cremate their dead by law in “Secular Meghalaya”.
Just look at how the ancient Shaktipeeth of Nartiang is described in the official Government website as just a site of human sacrifice.
Actually, it was a site of brave resistance and rich cultural heritage, where the great freedom fighter U Kiang Nangbah had fought his great war of 1861-63 from. He was rebelling against the British & particularly against the atrocities committed by the missionaries.
The same Meghalaya Government allows the church-backed front groups to outright ban the Hindu rituals at the magnificient natural shivling Mawjymbuin cave.

The inaction & tacit support in some cases (like that of the Government of Williamson A. Sangma in 1987) has led to at least three major-mass murders of Hindus, with at least 60,000 victims Whatever be our political beleifs, we all must actively oppose this church-monopoly over the governance in parts of Bharat.

Christians of Meghalaya are totally fine with enjoying the benifits of our tax money (around 70% of their state economy runs from Central Transfer) & taking advantage of ST rights.
but they are totally unwilling to accomodate or co-exist with non-Christians.
Meghalaya is one of the examples of what happens when the church is allowed to dominate local politics, #Manipur will be the same unless PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah takes immediate action.
