“Sanatana Abolition Conclave” to be held in Chennai to discuss destruction of Hindu Dharma

The Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Association has announced the “Sanatana Abolition Conclave” to be held in Chennai on September 2nd. A conference that openly discusses the destruction of Hindu Dharma raises serious questions about the state’s political climate.
The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), which claims a secular image, has shown its true colors by permitting such an event to occur. It not only endorses but also has two members of the party participating in a conference that aims to undermine the very fabric of Hindu Dharma.

Topics that will be discussed at the Sanatana Abolition Conclave

The conference’s agenda is a stark display of its intentions. Topics that are lined up for the conference include:

  1. Deadly History of Sanatana (Sanatana Dharma)
  2. Sanatana and Women
  3. Tamil Norms and Sanatana
  4. Caste Theory & Conspiracy Theory
  5. Tamil Music & Sanatana
  6. Sanatana Imposition & Opposition in Media
  7. What is the way to oppose Sanatana Dharma Politics or Spirituality
  8. Weapon to destroy Sanatana Dharma

These topics reveal the deep-rooted bias and hatred against Hindu Dharma. What’s even more concerning is the list of speakers.

Speakers at the Sanatana Abolition Conclave

The list includes the likes of:

  1. K. Veeramani – Dravidar Kazhagam
  2. Udhayanidhi Stalin – DMK
  3. Radhika Vemula – Mother of Rohit Vemula
  4. Madhukkur Ramalingam – Communist Party of India
  5. Thol. Thirumavalavan – Liberation Panthers Party (VCK)
  6. Peter Alphonse – Congress Party
  7. Su. Venkatesan – Marxist Communist Party
  8. Adhavan Deetchanya – Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Association
  9. Ponmudi – DMK

Udhayanidhi Stalin and K Ponmudi are ministers in the ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu. It must be recalled here that Udhayanidhi Stalin is the son of TN Chief Minister MK Stalin and Ponmudi was investigated by the ED in connection with a money laundering case.

Thol Thirumavalavan of the VCK is also known to speak constantly against Sanatana Dharma villifying it all the time in his speeches. It is ironic that Thirumavalavan who observed pindrop silence after the Vengaivayal incident where human faeces were mixed in a water tank meant for Dalit community, not one word of condemnation, is participating in such an event rubbing shoulders with DMK members under whose regime this incident happened.

Su. Venkatesan, a CPI(M) MP from Madurai who has been sharing information about the event on his social media handles is also the State Honorary President of Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association. He shared a post with the caption “The Tamilnadu Progressive Writers & Artists Association is grandly organizing the Sanatana Abolition Conference in Chennai. We invite all the progressive forces of Tamil Nadu to come together to make this conference a success.”

The same Su Venkatesan is known to spread fake news about central government schemes frequently.

Writer and playwright Konangi known for his literary work and associated with this Writers Assn has been accused of sexually assaulting artists is the brother of a former state president of the same organisation.

Dravidian ideology buttressing anti-Hindu events

The DMK’s support for such conferences speaks volumes about its tacit buttressing for the event. Allowing such an event not only perpetuates the poisoning of Hindu Dharma but also insults the sentiments of the majority of Hindus in Tamil Nadu. This blatant anti-Hindu Dharma ideology reveals a disturbing trend shedding light on the organisers’ and participants’ prejudice against a particular religious group, the Hindus.

Interestingly, the organisers of the event are known for their communist affiliations. This raises questions about their true intentions and whether this is merely another instance of exploiting ideology for political gains.

During the conference, a book titled “Sanatana Ideology: Imposition and Resistance in Tamil Nadu,” authored by Professor Ilango, will be launched. Additionally, there will be a painting exhibition showcasing instances of caste-based atrocities in Tamil Nadu, and a book stall selling literature critical of Hinduism will be set up.

Sectarianism mainstreamed in the name of social justice

This clearly adds to the divisive nature of the conference. It’s evident that the agenda goes beyond intellectual discourse and aims to further polarise the caste issue. What’s striking is the hypocrisy in the Dravidian ideology. While professing atheism, the DMK readily engages with Islamists and rabid Christian missionaries, in fact mollycoddles them in the name of secularism and free speech. This disparity in the treatment of religions blatantly displays their hypocrisy about the principles they claim to uphold.

The Sanatana Abolition Conclave serves as a stark reminder of the divisive political landscape in Tamil Nadu that promotes secessionism and an anti-Hindu agenda. The people of the state must question the motives behind such events and whether they truly reflect the values of a diverse and harmonious society. It’s time to question the separationist agenda peddled by the likes of EV Ramasamy Naicker in the name of social justice and inclusivity.

  1. And I bet you Islamists are hiding behind the scenes at this conference too. Because the true future goal of such “conferences” is “destroy Hindu Dharma and establish an Islamic state.” That is the end goal. The end goal is not some atheistic dravidian entity, but to make TN part of the global ummah-tul-Islam.
