Christian Evangelists distribute religious books promoting Conversion and glorifying Jesus in Vidisha school: MP

In Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Vidisha, Christian missionaries have been active, distributing religious books under the guise of NGOs. These books, which seem to be about Hindu scriptures based on their titles, contain stories glorifying Jesus Christ and condemning Hindu saints. This activity appears to encourage Christian religious conversion.

The latest incident happened in Vidisha’s Lyra on Friday (19 July). A young woman claiming to be associated with an NGO visited Pandocha Middle School and started distributing books titled “Holy Scriptures, Psalms, and Ethics” to the children for free. The titles of these books were misleading, as the content praised Jesus and criticized Hindu saints. When teachers opposed her actions, she argued with them and fled when they said they would call the police.

According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the girl said she was from Hyderabad and did not disclose her name despite being asked multiple times. She mentioned that she distributes these books for free as part of her work with the NGO. It was reported that she arrived from Bina with two other women, who are also suspected of distributing similar Christian religious books in different villages.

Sanjay Lodhi, a teacher at the school where the incident occurred, stopped the evangelist. He informed local media that the girl had also been distributing these books in nearby villages, mainly targeting poor and Scheduled Caste households. She claimed to have distributed books in Sagar and Itarsi as well.
