Maranatha Visvasa Samajam: an evangelical Christian FCRA-NGO running “Children’s Ministry”, appropriating “Veda Patasala”!

Pastor Moses Choudary runs Maranatha Visvasa Samajam (FCRA registered) i.e. ‘Maranatha Faith Community’ in Hyderabad, Telangana and takes care of children through his Children’s Ministry that wants to provide an environment in which ‘children are safe’ and are encouraged to develop a ‘relationship with Jesus Christ’. It was first started in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh in 1982 and later expanded to other centers.

It ministers to the ‘spiritual needs of children’ through a children’s ministry. The need for this ministry as per the NGO is to guide the young people who reach adulthood and decide to follow Christ. ‘Jesus commissioned his church to preach the gospel’ – Children’s ministry supports this mission in several ways.

Mission Statement of this Children Ministry: “The goal of children’s ministry is to lead children toward knowing and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In order to teach about spiritual nourishment some of our Youth members are trained to lead children towards God. Benefits of Children Ministry: Help children to accept Jesus as their savior, Spiritual and Relationship nourishment and to develop their moral values.”

This sounds a lot like proselytizing to Hindu children – how is this legal? Missionary segment targeting is a known tactic – the ‘4/14 window‘ (4 to 14 year old children) and ‘10/40 window‘ (people living in rectangular area encompassing South Asia and other regions falling between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude) are targeted.

Moses Choudary Gullapalli has been running a Children’s Home from the year 1982. He has also appropriated a Hindu Veda Pathashala into the Christian-fold; art of misappropriation comes easy for this evangelist!

Don’t miss the goal of this so-called ‘Veda Patasala’: We are in the task of manufacturing raw material as indigenous finished products. This Christian institution even runs a matrimonial service with the name of ‘MARANATHA VIVAHA VEDHIKA’!

A crackdown on foreign missionaries is no longer enough. Home-grown & well-trained Indian missionaries, funded by Western nations via FCRA and other means, are disrupting our social fabric and erasing Dharmic & cultural diversity. Ending FCRA and amending Article 25 of the constitution to remove the right for Abrahamics to ‘propagate religion’ is a must to safeguard our Dharmic civilization.

  1. A “Veda” pathshala is just that: a school that teaches the Vedas, of which there are four (Rig, Yajus, Sam, Atharvana). Anyone NOT teaching any of these 4 Vedas CAN NOT BE ALLOWED to call themselves a Veda Pathshala. Will Pakistan be OK if a “madrassa” is teaching Bible instead of Kuran? It would be burnt down the moment it was found to be doing that. We HIndus being meek and tolerant, everyone is taking advantage of us! I’ve had enough of it.
