“Amidst a profound personal journey, two young women, both Muslims, bravely departed from the Islamic faith, finding solace and spiritual fulfilment in the embrace of Sanatan Hindu Dharma. Tanu Banu Khatun did Ghar Wapasi for self-discovery, adopting the name Anu, while Anisha Khatun adopted the name Anwesha, symbolising the new chapter in their lives.
Their transition didn’t come without challenges. The Hindu organisation ‘Hindu Samhati’ played a pivotal role in arranging their ‘Ghar Wapsi’, a symbolic return to the Hindu fold, warmly welcoming them into the community. This gesture not only celebrated their newfound faith but also exemplified the essence of religious acceptance and freedom.
Their decision to renounce Islam and embrace Sanatan Dharma by doing Ghar Wapasi stemmed from their longing for freedom and respect for women within this spiritual path. They believed that aligning themselves with the principles of Sanatan Dharma would bring transformative change to their lives…..”
