Fabricated Dharmasthala case exposed, Chinnaiah–Mahesh Shetty group concealed SC dismissal, misguided Congress govt, and turned SIT into a tool against the Hindu temple

In a stunning revelation, the so-called mass burial allegations against Dharmasthala have been exposed yet again as a duplicitous campaign carried out by vested interests. Documents now reveal that Chinnaiah and his associates had already faced rejection before the Supreme Court of Bharat, but deliberately concealed this fact while continuing their propaganda through local complaints and court petitions.

As per Public TV, the group had first approached the Supreme Court through Chinnaiah by filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). On May 5, 2025, a bench of Justices B.V. Nagarathna and Satish Chandra dismissed the PIL outright, observing that it was filed with monetary, political, and private interests, not genuine public interest. The apex court was scathing in its remarks, stating that the petition had “lost all sense of dignity and decorum” and pointing out the inordinate delay, as the so-called incidents pertained to 1995–2004 but were being raked up after more than two decades.

Despite this stinging dismissal, Chinnaiah and his lobby concealed the Supreme Court order and went ahead to file petitions in Belthangady court and complaints with the Dakshina Kannada SP, demanding an SIT probe. Shockingly, within days, the Congress government in Karnataka formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT), with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah personally meeting SIT chief Pronab Mohanty.

The question that now looms large is: Was the Congress government unaware that the Supreme Court had already dismissed this case, or did it deliberately ignore the fact to appease certain lobbies?

This revelation proves what Hindu voices and reports like Hindu Post have long warned: the Dharmasthala mass burial case is not just a falsehood but a carefully manufactured narrative aimed at maligning one of the most revered Hindu institutions of Karnataka. The very temple town that stands as a beacon of dharmic culture has been repeatedly dragged through mud by vested interests who thrive on anti-Hindu propaganda.

The Supreme Court’s dismissal exposes the mala fide intent: this case was never about truth or justice, but about political vendetta, monetary interests, and an assault on Hindu faith and its institutions. By forming the SIT despite the apex court’s clear rejection, the Congress government stands complicit in legitimizing a fraudulent campaign.

As per the Public TV reports, the real mastermind, Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, is an agitator of notorious repute. The Dakshina Kannada district administration has externed him to Raichur for one year, citing law and order grounds and his involvement in more than 32 criminal cases across multiple police stations. During the SIT’s searches connected to the Dharmasthala case, weapons were reportedly seized from his residence, and he has been implicated in the funding trail of the chief complainant. That such an individual is permitted to lead a campaign against a sacred Hindu institution underscores the dangerous nexus of criminal operatives empowered by political forces working to defame Hindu dharmic centers.

The latest revelations raise unavoidable and disturbing questions: Did the Congress government deliberately suppress the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the so-called Dharmasthala mass burial case to keep the false narrative alive? Were unseen hands pushing the state to act against Dharmasthala despite the apex court’s clear rejection? Is the SIT nothing more than a political weapon designed to harass Hindu institutions while the real culprits hide behind the mask of activism? What is now undeniable is that the entire case is a fabricated plot aimed at tarnishing one of Karnataka’s most revered Hindu centers. Instead of defending truth and protecting a centuries-old dharmic institution, the Congress government has shamefully lent credibility to lies, betraying Hindu sentiments. Hindus across the state must recognize this recurring pattern: manufacture a false case, use pliant governments to legitimize it, and drag sacred institutions through endless harassment to weaken them. With the Supreme Court itself exposing the fraud, it is now the duty of society to hold accountable those who persist in attacking Hindu dharmic centers under the guise of justice.
