Chittorgarh: Students at Mewar University attacked by Kashmiri students over Chandrayaan-3 celebrations, Allah-Hu-Akbar chants raised

While the entire nation was celebrating the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, some elements encashed this opportunity to express their hatred towards the nation and the Hindus. An unfortunate incident happened at Chittorgarh’s Mewar University, where Kashmiri students attacked other students, as they were celebrating the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

As per the media reports, a minor dispute started between local students and Kashmiri students in Mewar University, which later took a grim turn resulting in stone pelting and sword attack.

As per the University management, this ruckus started in the mess where some Kashmiri students thrashed a student named Rahul, who was sitting there while having food, accusing him of staring at them. However, the actual reason is allegedly said to be the celebrations for Chandrayaan-3’s success.

It is also being claimed that Ayush Sharma, an engineering student was celebrating the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, which was not liked by the Kashmiri students. Students were raising the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’, then all of a sudden 10 to 12 Kashmiri students expressed their displeasure and attacked them with sharp weapons.

The assault by the Kashmiri students kicked off a heated scuffle between them and those who came in support of Rahul. In the scuffle, two students Ayush and Krishnapal Sharma were seriously injured and were immediately taken to a hospital.

Some videos of this incident have also surfaced online where Kashmiri students are seen attacking on the local students and raising slogans of Allah-hu-Akbar.

Due to sensitive nature of this brawl, the authorities have deployed a heavy police force outside the campus. The police have taken some students into custody and the situation is under control. University Director Harish Gurnani issued a statement in the matter and mentioned that “a minor issue escalated into a clash. The university administration has formed a committee to conduct an investigation, and they will take appropriate actions following it.”
