Love Jihad: Hindu girls falling prey to manipulative tactics of Islamists

In Indore and Raipur, two separate cases of ‘Love Jihad’ and religious conversion have surfaced, underscoring the gravity of Islamist agendas targeting Hindu girls. These incidents reveal a disturbing trend of manipulative tactics employed to lure and convert Hindu girls.

Raipur, CG: Elopement and religious conversion

In a recent incident in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, a 24-year-old woman named Swati Tiwary (name changed) reportedly eloped with Islamist Mohammad Shahid, her acquaintance from their time together at an LLB college. Their relationship developed during their studies, eventually leading to their elopement. Allegedly, Swati also submitted an affidavit for religious conversion and marriage.

According to reports in Haribhoomi, the girl’s family alleges she was taken forcefully, with suspicions of religious conversion. Mohammad Shahid’s family claims ignorance of any marriage. Amanaka police questioned Shahid’s family, who deny knowledge of the marriage. Tiwari’s family criticizes police for lack of communication. Reports suggest marriage registration and a religious conversion application were filed. Police search for the missing couple while investigating the case. Tiwari, from Hirapur, and Shahid met in college before disappearing.

The parents of the young woman have expressed dissatisfaction with the police response, as both individuals remain missing. An investigation is currently underway to locate the missing pair and determine the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.

Indore, MP: A case of deception and betrayal

In a distressing incident of “Love Jihad” in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim man named Mohammad Shahrukh Sheikh is accused of deceiving and sexually exploiting a Jain girl. Pretending to be a man named Yash Jain, Islamist Sheikh befriended the victim, who worked as a manager at a company. Under false pretenses of marriage, Sheikh reportedly raped her multiple times at his aunt’s house. The victim grew suspicious and later discovered Sheikh’s true identity and marital status. Based on the OpIndia reports, over the course of the 3–4 years, they engaged in a physical relationship, unbeknownst to the girl’s awareness of Shahrukh’s true identity.

As the relationship progressed, suspicions arose within the girl, leading her to uncover Shahrukh’s deception. She discovered that he was a Muslim and already married, shattering the trust she had placed in him. The revelation has prompted the intervention of local authorities, with the police launching an investigation into the matter to ascertain the extent of Shahrukh’s deceit and the legal implications of his actions.

Despite her ordeal, the victim persisted, filing a case against Sheikh for his alleged involvement in “Love Jihad.” The authorities eventually took action, opening a rape case against Sheikh and transferring the matter to the Hiranagar police station for further investigation.

In recent times, various regions across Bharat have witnessed the unfolding of similar incidents, each bearing the hallmark of alleged “Love Jihad.” Despite heightened awareness and scrutiny following reports by Hindu Post, indicating a surge in such cases, instances of purported interfaith relationships persistently come to light. As these cases continue to arise on a daily basis, Hindu organizations have remained actively engaged in safeguarding and raising awareness among Hindu girls regarding the manipulative tactics employed by Islamists. In this one of the instances, even a Jain girl was targeted, highlighting the widespread nature of these tactics aimed at vulnerable individuals.
