Blatant anti-Hindu propaganda: Hindu activists expose missionary agenda of selling distorted Bhagavad Gita versions

In an undated video believed to be from Shankarpally in the Telugu-speaking states (AP or Telangana), Hindu activists captured scenes showing blatant dissemination of anti-Hindu missionary propaganda.

In the video, one can see Hindu activists confronting a youth allegedly from Nepal selling distorted versions of the Bhagavad Gita to the unsuspecting public. From the video, it seems that this version of the Gita is a “secularised” version of the original. On the first page of the book, the text in Telugu translates to “Life is our Creed. Ours is Human Dharmam. No Dharma like Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian exists”

The content also indicates that God (Bhagawan) is Naraakara Rupi (instead of Niraakara). It also has contents from the Bible and the Quran. The books are being sold for Rs 10.

This is just one of the modus operandi followed by missionaries to spread propaganda against Hindu Dharma. Several such instances have occurred in the past. One recent incident occurred in Tumakuru, Karnataka where Christian missionaries were distributing books similar to the Bhagavad Gita with the intention of religious conversion. Bajrang Dal activists in the state filed a complaint that stated missionaries were actively targeting Hindus for conversion in Tumakuru through the distribution and sale of these books, which insulted Hindu deities and equated figures from other religions with Hindu gods. The book, titled ‘Geetheye Ninna Jnana Amruta’ in Kannada, claimed that Baba Adam is equivalent to Brahma, Mahadev, and Mohammad and that figures revered by other faiths were reincarnations of Hindu deities. Bajrang Dal accused missionaries of aggressively promoting these books, even bringing in people from other states to assist in their distribution. The books were being printed at the Kabir Printing Press in New Delhi.
