Tripura: The Police arrest 16 Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators in Dhalai district

Tripura Police, acting on intelligence inputs, arrested a total of 16 Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators in two separate operations in the Dhalai district.

As per the reports, in the first operation, a team of police officials of the Gandacherra Police Station raided Mas Kumbhir Para village, where 11 Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators were caught. The Police officials found several Bangladeshi documents from them. 

Some of the arrested Bangladeshi citizens were identified as Muhammad Mamun Sarder, Ruma Begum and Afsana Akter. 

During the primary interrogation, the arrested Bangladeshi citizens confessed that they had entered Bharat 3 years ago through the international borders of West Bengal. In last 3 years, they had staying different states and worked. Recently they reached Tripura to return to Bangladesh. 

In another operation, Tripura Police in a joint effort with Government Railway Police arrested 5 Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators from Ambassa Railway Station. During the primary interrogation, the arrested Bangladeshi citizens said that a few days ago, they entered Bharat. They were planning to go to West Bengal.
