Woman divorced by Jamshed Khan over phone from Dubai, forced to undergo halala with her brother-in-law: UP

In Bareilly, a woman from the Cantt area faced a distressing situation involving a deceitful relationship. Eight years ago, a young Muslim man named Jamshed Khan manipulated her into a love affair and forced physical intimacy on her. When she became pregnant, he demanded two lakh rupees for marriage, and she managed to provide one lakh rupees from her home.

Jamshed married the woman, and they had a daughter and a son. However, her in-laws subjected her to daily beatings over trivial matters. Eventually, the husband left for Dubai and, through a WhatsApp call, pronounced triple talaq, leaving her and the children behind.

In a troubling turn of events, her in-laws insisted on Halala, stating that the woman needed to perform it with her brother-in-law before she could remarry. Unfortunately, she succumbed to this pressure, and after some months, her husband returned from Dubai and remarried her. However, the cycle repeated, and he divorced her over the phone after a brief period.

Now, the in-laws are pressuring her to undergo Halala with the brother-in-law once more. She has been ousted from her home along with her children, and her possessions have been seized. Desperate and helpless, she roams from one doorstep to another, seeking assistance. The matter has been reported to the SSP, who has ordered an investigation into the disturbing situation.
