West Bengal: 10-year-old girl is allegedly raped and murdered in Purba Bardhaman; the Police arrested 2

Another case of alleged rape and murder has been coming in from the Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal. A 10-year-old girl who worked as a domestic help, was murdered by the son of her employer. The Police arrested the main accused Tuel Sheikh and his mother, Rubi Bibi. 

As per the reports, the family of the deceased girl is a resident of Raikha village under the Kerugram Police Station of Purba Bardhaman district. 

The minor girl came from a poor family. Her mother works as a domestic help in different households. Few months ago, her mother send her to the house of Rubi Bibi to work as a domestic help in Sultanpur village. Earlier, the minor girl used to return home after work. But, recently, Rubi Bibi forced the girl to remain there. And time to time, she used to call and talk to her mother over phone. 

On the 19th of March, Tuesday, Rubi Bibi visited girl’s house and told her mother that the girl had run away. Next day, on Wednesday, Rubi Bibi asked the girl’s mother to visit her home in Sultanpur. 

The mother of the girl and her neighbours reached Sultanpur. They put pressure on Rubi Bibi and her son. They first said that the minor girl died by suicide. But, later, they confessed that the girl was murdered. 

Meanwhile, the girl’s family informed the Kerugram Police Station. The police arrested Rubi Bibi and her son Tuel Sheikh, a college student.
