Accused Dawood Bandu Khan wanted in kidnapping & rape cases arrested by Mumbai Police; was absconding for 40 years

Mumbai Police has arrested a 70-year-old man who had been missing for 40 years. The man, identified as Papa alias Dawood Bandu Khan, was wanted in a kidnapping and rape case from 1984. He was arrested in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, based on secret information.

Khan had been charged with kidnapping and rape in Mumbai in 1984. Although he was initially arrested and released on bail, he stopped attending court hearings and was declared a fugitive. Police in Mumbai searched for him extensively but could not locate him.

Recently, the police received information that Khan was living in Agra with his family. A police team was sent to Uttar Pradesh, where Khan was arrested. He has been brought back to Mumbai and will be presented before the court.
