Family alleges Vikas Yadav was poisoned to death by his Muslim wife: Darbhanga

The case of a Hindu boy losing his life for having fallen in love with and marrying a Muslim girl is reported from Bihar’s Darbhanga. The allegation has been leveled against the Muslim wife of Vikas Yadav. The Yadav family accused the girl of killing her husband by poisoning him. According to reports, the difference in manners and customs cropped up after marriage which the couple couldn’t deal with.

20-year-old youth Vikas Yadav, who was a resident of Darbhanga’s APM police station area, died during treatment in DMDH. The deceased’s uncle Upendra Yadav has accused his wife of killing him by poisoning him. He said that while living in Delhi, Vikas had married a Muslim girl six months ago. But, as soon as he returned to Darbhanga from Delhi, differences cropped up, leading to a dispute between both of them which has been going on for many days.

According to the allegation, Vikas had reached his in-laws’ house at Pandasarai in the Laheriyasarai police station area from his home on Thursday morning (19 October) at around 8.30 after his wife called. Shortly after this, Yadav’s family received the news of his death from his in-laws’ house. It is said that the deceased had married a Muslim girl about six months ago in a love affair.

In this regard, Bahadurpur police station trainee officer DSP Ashish Raj said that information was received that a young man had consumed poison. He was admitted to DMDH for treatment in critical condition, where he died during treatment. According to the information, it is a matter of a love affair, and it is coming to light that the boy was upset. Further investigation is ongoing.
