In a distressing incident reported by Sudarshan News, Vicky Hawale, a Hindu youth residing in the Partur area of Maharashtra’s Jalna district, was subjected to a vicious assault by Islamists. The altercation occurred while Vicky was dining at a local hotel with his younger brother. Upon receiving a call, Jai Shree Ram played on Vicky’s phone. This ringtone apparently irked two individuals from the Islamic community seated nearby. Subsequently, they launched a violent attack on Vicky.

OpIndia report says Vicky sustained severe injuries and has been undergoing treatment at a hospital for the past four days. Despite filing a complaint with the authorities, no action has been taken against the assailants thus far. Identified as Sameer Shaikh and his accomplice, they reportedly instigated the assault solely due to Vicky’s choice of a Ram Bhajan ringtone.
As the brothers sat in their designated area, two Islamists forcibly entered and subjected the victim to a brutal assault. One of the attackers is identified as Sameer Shaikh. The entire altercation was captured on CCTV footage. These Islamist assailants are known to be involved in various illegal activities, yet despite the filing of a First Information Report (FIR), authorities have failed to take appropriate action.
Allegations suggest that their impunity stems from their relationship with law enforcement authorities, wherein illicit gains are exchanged for protection. Moreover, they brazenly conduct their unlawful activities even in rural areas, confident in their impunity. Concerns are mounting as it appears the police are actively undermining the case to shield the perpetrators. This incident has sparked outrage within the Hindu community and affiliated organizations, which are advocating for stringent legal measures against the Islamist assailants.
Similar incidents targeting Hindus: assault on Bengaluru shop owner
In a notable incident from March of this year, Mukesh, a Hindu shop owner in Bengaluru, was assaulted by a group of Islamists for playing Hanuman Chalisa and other Hindu devotional songs in his shop, which is situated near a mosque. The incident gained widespread attention after a video capturing the assault went viral on social media, showing the attackers beating Mukesh in Siddannagalli.
In a similar incident, a shopkeeper in Hyderabad was assaulted by an Islamist mob for playing Hindu devotional music. Additionally, Hindu youths in the area were attacked and forced to chant “Allahu Akbar.” These instances reflect a disturbing pattern of targeted violence against Hindus, highlighting escalating communal tensions and coercive Islamist radical ideology against Hindus.
