Umaid strangulates wife Shabnam to death in front of their 4 kids over suspected affair: Delhi

In Delhi, a man named Umaid strangulated his wife to death in front of their four children on suspicion of illicit relations. After getting information about this incident, police reached the spot and started the investigation. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

According to available information, the case is from the Dayalpur police station area of ​​North East Delhi. On the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, the police control room received information that a man had strangulated his wife to death. Following this, the police reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

While interrogating the people in the area, the police came to know that Umaid killed his wife, Shabnam, after the couple had a fight. It has further come to light that at the time of the murder, the couple’s four children were also present in the house.

The couple got married seven years ago

According to the police, 40-year-old Umaid was living on rent in E-Block of Chand Bagh with his wife Shabnam(35) and four children. The couple got married seven years ago. The accused is a carpenter by profession. On 25 October, Umaid had a dispute with his wife following which he strangled his wife. Shabnam became unconscious and was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.

Umaid suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship with someone. The police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
