The Wire columnist Inayat Pardeshi suspected in his mother Satyashodhak Marxist leader Saroj Kamble’s suspicious death, he feared he would be disinherited if his mother remarried

Propaganda portal The Wire Columnist Inayat Ranjit Pardeshi has been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 304 (culpable homicide) for his involvement in his mother Satyashodhak Communist leader Saroj Kamble’s murder.

Saroj Kamble’s mysterious death

Saroj Kamble was found dead under suspicious circumstances about 17 days ago on June 5 in her Dhule residence. Now, the Dhule Police has concluded that Kamble’s death was unnatural and her son Pardeshi murdered her as he feared the loss of property after his mother’s remarriage. The Wire columnist and his father Ranjit Pardeshi have gone missing on Wednesday.

One of the Satyashodhak Organization’s workers informed the police after he became suspicious about Kamble’s death. Initially, the police refused to undertake a post-mortem but on the worker’s insistence, they ultimately stepped in and took the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem.

Although the police had conducted a post-mortem, they did not start any investigation saying they were yet to receive a preliminary post-mortem report. NewsTown says Pardeshi went underground along with his father on Wednesday after locking their house as he feared he would be arrested. The portal had earlier highlighted how The Wire columnist was torturing his mother for the last 4-5 years.

It must be mentioned that Professor Ranjit Pardeshi has been bedridden for the past several months and is not in a position to walk. It is quite surprising that Pardeshi disappeared with his bedridden father without any of the activists associated with the organization having any clue about his whereabouts. Furthermore, the activists are said to be concerned about safety of Ranjit in view of Pardeshi’s involvement in his mother’s murder.

“It is shocking that the Satyashodhak Communist activists who make tall claims of working for the welfare-depraved classes have maintained a deafening silence in Kamble’s suspicious death case. In view of the fact that none of the activists asked for a thorough investigation into Kamble’s death case, it is amply clear that Satyashodhak Marxists’ so-called fight for the depraved is nothing but a farce. In fact many have tried to protect Inayat Pardeshi”, notes NewsTown.

The portal further highlighted that Inayat Pardeshi, who had terrorized his parents for the last 4-5 years, became scared since both the portal and several activists raised questions about his involvement in Kamble’s death. His sudden disappearance raises several questions such as who helped him leave Dhule, where has he gone, and how did he go.

Inayat Pardeshi tortured his mother

According to available information, the murder did not make it to the media till NewsTown broke the news on June 9. In their report, they highlighted the inhuman treatment meted out by Pardeshi to Kamble. The report says that he has been torturing his mother for the last 4 to 5 years. He has been accused of mercilessly beating his mother including burning her using kitchen equipment. Kamble informed News Town about the torture she was subjected to by Pardeshi in a complaint note she sent to the media portal two months ago.

It would be interesting to point out that Kamble had gone missing on 3 March as she was fed up with her son’s torture. Pardeshi filed a missing complaint and subsequently, Kamble was traced to one of her relatives’ house in Malegaon. She left her house as she feared her son would kill her. However, Pardeshi began troubling their relatives by lodging false complaints of abducting Kamble against them. He even allegedly sent goons to their residence. Eventually, Kamble returned to her home on April 2 so that her relatives would not suffer.

Kamble had written a complaint detailing the torture Pardeshi had been subjecting her to and made five copies of the same. She left copies with different activists and one with her Malegaon relative before heading to her sister’s house in Kalyan. She instructed them to hand over the complaint letter to the police if Pardeshi arrived at Kalyan to trouble her.

On 27 February 2023, Pardeshi physically assaulted Kamble pressurizing her to transfer the house in his name. He reportedly even sent a bloodied Kamble to the registration office. She fainted at the office due to blood loss. Pratibha Khairnar working at the registration office offered tea and biscuits to Kamble. She was admitted to New Civil Hire Medical College by Madhukar Bise and Milind Baisane. It came to light that she had suffered fractures to both her wrists and her leg.

Kamble was admitted to the hospital till 3 March where Pardeshi would come daily and create a ruckus to pressurize her to return home. Afraid of her son, Kamble left the hospital on March 3 and took asylum at her relative’s place in Malegaon.
