Telangana: Hindus brutally attacked by Islamist mob

In a distressing incident that unfolded on March 28th in Telangana’s Shamsheergunj area, a Hindu family became the latest target of a violent Islamist mob. The incident underscores a worrying trend of escalating communal violence against Hindus in the region, met with apparent indifference from authorities despite repeated pleas for intervention.

Reports indicate that the family was subjected to a brutal attack by the Islamist mob, leaving them in a state of fear and trauma. The video depicting a man bleeding profusely after a brutal attack, with visible head injuries, quickly went viral on various social media platforms. The footage captured the harrowing scene as family members were seen in shock and distress, frantically crying out for help. Witnesses reported that the injured individual was immediately rushed to the hospital due to severe bleeding.

The reason for the attack is not clear.

Despite the alarming rise in crimes targeting Hindus, including assaults, vandalism, and intimidation, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Anumula, has faced criticism for purportedly turning a blind eye to these atrocities. Calls for urgent action to address the growing menace of communal violence against Hindus have fallen on deaf ears, exacerbating the sense of insecurity and marginalization within the community.

Last week, a disturbing incident unfolded in Hyderabad, where CCTV footage surfaced, revealing a Hindu man being assaulted by an Islamist mob. Such brazen acts of violence against the Hindu community and Hindu Dharma are becoming increasingly frequent, painting a grim picture of the security situation for Hindus in Telangana.
