In a shocking case reported from Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Moradabad, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Asif Ali is accused of raping, blackmailing, and torturing a woman for five years. Ali reportedly threatened to throw acid on her face. The 30-year-old victim, who hails from a politically connected family, disclosed the ordeal to her husband and lodged a police complaint.
According to the victim’s statement in the FIR, the abuse began in 2019 when Asif Ali gave her a drink laced with intoxicants, causing her to lose consciousness. She bravely reported the incident to the police, leading to the registration of an FIR against the accused SP leader and his brother. The police have launched an investigation into the matter, acknowledging the serious nature of the allegations and the mental torture endured by the victim over the years.
