Saddam Khan, father of four, lures minor girl to elope with him; arrested in Sonipat: Haryana

On Sunday, the police arrested Saddam Khan, a married man with four children from Haryana’s Sonipat, for kidnapping a teenage girl. According to officials, a woman named Nafisa (name changed) from Sahaspur had reported on January 19 that her 15-year-old daughter went to school for an exam but did not return. The family searched everywhere but couldn’t find her.

The police started an investigation and found out that a man named Saddam alias Hussain Khan, 35, from Saharanpur, had persuaded the girl to go with him. Using his phone’s location, the police tracked where he could hide. They raided spots in Haryana’s Sonipat and put up posters about the abduction. They also used social media and local informers to spread the word.

After a thorough search, the police arrested him on Sunday from Sonipat’s Adarsh Nagar town. Officials revealed that the accused has four children, and his wife is expecting their fifth child. The victim stated that Khan had raped her. He was arrested under Section 363, 366(A) and 376(3) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sent to Suddhowala district jail after appearing in court on Sunday.
