Shamim Quraishi arrested for beheading his girlfriend on suspicions of cheating: Bihar

In Bihar’s Kaimur district, the police arrested Shamim Quraishi for murdering his girlfriend. The victim is a student at a coaching institute. She was killed by her boyfriend, Shamim Quraishi, who suspected that she was cheating on him.

According to Lalit Mohan Sharma, the Superintendent of Police in Kaimur, Quraishi invited the girl for a date and took her on his bike to Madurni Hill on January 11. There, he slit her throat and beheaded her. After committing the crime, he placed her head in a bag from a coaching institute and dumped the body. The decapitated body was found on Madurni Hill the same day.

Sharma explained that they suspected Quraishi by analyzing the victim’s movements and contacts. His mobile location was traced to the Madurni hill region on January 11. When questioned, Quraishi confessed to the crime. He admitted to taking the victim’s head in a coaching institute bag and wandering in the area before dumping it in a well near his coaching centre. The police recovered the head from the well.

During the investigation, the police used a sniffer dog and discovered a letter and a knife used in the crime. The letter, written by the accused, falsely blamed the victim’s uncle and another youth to mislead the police. The accused and the victim were classmates at a coaching centre in Bhabhua. An FIR has been filed against Shamim Quraishi at Chainpur Police Station, and the police plan to request a speedy trial for this gruesome murder.
