One month passed, WB Police fails to recover a minor Hindu girl who became the victim of Love Jihad

A minor Hindu girl from Daulatabad area under Murshidabad district became the victim of Love Jihad and went missing with a Muslim man. The distressed family filed a complaint, but one month passed, and police are yet to recover the girl.

The minor Hindu girl (16) is a resident of Ghoshpara area under Daulatabad police station. Her father is a daily wage labourer. One month ago, the girl went missing, and her mother says her daughter has been kidnapped by Shakir Seikh. Since then, they could not find her. She also said that after filing a complaint, the police has failed to recover the girl. Police can’t tell where her daughter is now, alleged the mother.

Although her mother alleges abduction of her daughter, locals said that the accused, Shakir Seikh was the friend of her elder sister’s husband. The girl was groomed by the accused and persuaded to elope, they claim. Locals also demanded immediate recovery of the minor girl.

As per Bharat’s law and under POCSO, any adult who grooms and lures a minor to leave home, and has sexual relations with her, has committed a serious crime. Grooming jihadis have been known to start targeting Hindu girls who are barely in their teens, and then psychologically manipulating or intimidating them to follow their instructions.
