Naushad pressured Pinki to convert to Islam and consume meat

In Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Chhatarpur, a distressing incident has come to light where a woman named Pinki Sen attempted suicide due to mistreatment by Naushad. Pinki, aged 28, is presently hospitalized and unable to speak after consuming poison.

Pinki said she had been residing with Naushad for one and a half years. The situation turned dark when they had a heated argument on Sunday, leading Pinki to report the matter to the city police station. The police registered a case of mutual assault in response to her complaint.

Pinki has described the dispute as a case of love jihad in a video circulating on social media. In her account, she mentioned that Naushad pressured her to convert to Islam and to eat meat, claiming they had an illicit relationship under the false promise of marriage. The situation escalated to physical abuse, resulting in Pinki being thrown out of their shared residence.

The police officer, Arvind Kujur, categorized the incident as a mutual quarrel, and a case has been formally registered. It is noteworthy that Pinki’s husband is currently incarcerated, and she had been living with Naushad before the recent events.
