A Muslim man posed as a Hindu to trap a Hindu girl & later betrayed her

In yet another case of love jihad, a Muslim man from the Chilhiya police station area of Siddharthnagar Nagar district trapped a Hindu girl living in Lucknow by posing as a Hindu. He is said to have had a physical relationship with the girl and subsequently left her to return to his home. The girl is a resident of the Salempur area of Deoria and studies in Lucknow. It was further revealed that the accused was a resident of Ramgarhwa of the Chilhiya police station area.

The victim reached Chilhiya police station in Siddharth Nagar in search of the accused and lodged a complaint against the man at the police station demanding action against the accused. She also said that if action could not be taken, then they should get her married to the man. The police, however, redirected her to the Sakhi One Stop Center run under the Women and Child Welfare Department.

When the girl’s brother reached the One Stop Center to pick her up on Saturday (28 October) morning, the girl refused to go with him and returned to the police station. She is adamant about taking action against the man. CO Shohratgarh Garvit Singh said that the matter is under investigation and the police would soon register a case against the accused.
