Irshad Khan booked for kidnapping, raping & forcibly converting minor girl: MP

Madhya Pradesh (MP) Police have booked a man identified as Irshad Khan. for kidnapping and raping a minor Hindu girl. The girl was rescued on Monday (27 November), four days after missing. According to some reports, the 15-year-old girl (16 years old) was rescued on Monday night from a residence in the Majhgawan area of Satna district. This development has led to incidents of arson and accusations related to forced religious conversion.

Irshad Khan is facing charges of kidnapping, raping the girl, and allegedly coercing her into converting to another religion. An FIR has been filed against Khan, along with three women and a minor, under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act. Khan is reported to be a scrap dealer, and his family was also allegedly involved in the kidnapping and forced conversion of the minor.

Four suspects have been arrested, and the minor accused has been placed in a rehabilitation facility. Hindu organizations staged a late-night demonstration outside a police station, urging authorities to take action against the alleged offenders. Senior police officials, including Additional SP Vikram Singh Kushwaha, hurried to the location after receiving information about arson.
