A case of grooming jihad has been reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district, where a group of Islamists abducted a 17-year-old Hindu girl. The accused are Naufil, Imran, Usman, Sameer Khan, and others. The Hindu girl’s family claims that Naufil Khan brainwashed her into a relationship and then kidnapped her. They allege that the girl left home with Rs 4.32 lakh and was taken by Naufil’s gang in a car.
The incident occurred in the Pipra police station area on Saturday (2 March) evening. The family has filed an FIR against Naufil Khan, his parents Talib Khan, Sameer Khan, Imran alias Innu, Usman, and Naufil’s friends. They fear that the girl may be converted, married, or even killed.
The FIR states that the Hindu girl was abducted to threaten, convert, and marry her. The girl’s father, in the complaint, alleges that the accused, who are Muslims, abducted his daughter through careful planning. He fears for his daughter’s life.
The victim’s father has appealed for justice, saying that while the police have arrested several people, the main accused, Naufil, is at large, and his daughter has not been found. ASP Ashok Kumar Verma assured the family that the accused would be arrested and that the girl would recover soon. Additional Inspector Rajendra Verma of Pipri police station has stated that three teams are working to find the girl. They also questioned Naufil’s father, Talib Khan, for information. Police are using call records and location tracking to apprehend the accused.
