In Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Indore, a case of love jihad has come to light. The Pardeshipura police arrested Aftab Khan, also known as Salman Shaikh, who works at a private hospital. He is accused of rape, blackmail, and trying to convert a woman’s religion to Islam. Aftab Khan lied about his name and had a physical relationship with a married woman. He was blackmailing her after she found out his real identity.
According to ACP (Pardeshipura), Narendra Rawat, the woman’s father, was admitted to Lakshmi Memorial Hospital in Nehrunagar due to paralysis. Aftab Khan, who was working at the hospital reception, introduced himself as Sudeep and took the woman’s phone number.
After her father was discharged, Khan began visiting the woman’s house to give her father injections. He promised to marry her and had physical relations with her, all while hiding his real identity. During this time, he caused the woman to separate from her husband and son.
The truth was revealed when a young man recognized Aftab at a temple. Once the woman learned the truth, Khan began harassing her, insisting she convert to Islam to marry him. On Tuesday, members of a Hindu organization caught Khan at the hospital and beat him up.
In a separate incident, the Rajendra Nagar police arrested a young man named Arbaaz Khan from Khajrana for rape. According to TI Siyaram Singh Gurjar, the accused raped a minor girl. He used to accompany his uncle to install tiles and assaulted the watchman’s daughter. The police registered the case on Tuesday and arrested him late at night. The victim’s father works as a watchman in Scheme 103.
