Islamist Abdul Apsar stabbed Mamatha to death: Jagtial, Telangana

In a tragic and shocking incident, Islamist Abdul Apsar has been accused of murdering Mamata, a married Hindu woman with whom he had an illicit relationship. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about domestic violence and relationship conflicts.

Based on the reports from the Organiser, Mamatha, previously married to Gangadhar, had developed a relationship with Apsar, which led to severe familial discord. Upon discovering the affair, Gangadhar opposed the relationship, resulting in their divorce three years ago. After the separation, Mamata eloped with Apsar, and the couple has lived together ever since.

Singam Mamatha (45), residing opposite the Metpalli Government Hospital, was discovered deceased under questionable circumstances. Despite initial assumptions of suicide by hanging, the presence of stab wounds on her abdomen prompted law enforcement to consider foul play and launch a thorough investigation.

Originally hailing from Arapalli, Mamatha was formerly wedded to Gangadhar, with whom she shares a son and a daughter. Following a marital dispute three years prior, she underwent a divorce, relocating to Metpalli with her daughter while her son remained in Arapalli with his father, who had since remarried.

During this period, Mamata engaged in an extramarital affair with Abdul Apsar (28), who was also married. In the early hours of Monday (20 May), amidst a heated altercation between Mamata and Apsar, Apsar’s agitation escalated to the point where he strangled Mamata and inflicted a fatal stab wound to her abdomen with a knife before fleeing from the scene. Mamata succumbed to her injuries on the spot due to severe bleeding. Following a complaint filed by Singham Grahit, the deceased’s son residing in Hyderabad, law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation.

Initially, Mamata’s daughter claimed her mother’s demise was a result of suicide by hanging. However, inconsistencies emerged when she mentioned a knife wound in Mamata’s abdomen while recounting the incident, prompting police suspicion. Subsequently, during discreet interrogation, the daughter disclosed the truth, which led to Apsar’s confession and subsequent surrender to the authorities. The police, suspecting Apsar’s involvement in the murder, initiated a search for him, and a fearful Apsar turned himself in to the authorities voluntarily.

The news of the murder was conveyed to the victim’s husband by their daughter, who initially suggested it was a suicide by hanging. However, upon further inquiry, she disclosed that her mother had been brutally attacked and fatally wounded with a knife. Confronted with the gruesome reality of his wife’s murder after four years of separation, the grieving husband tearfully beseeched the authorities to ensure the perpetrator faces severe consequences. He vehemently accused Apsar of instigating discord within their family.

Following a complaint lodged by the son, law enforcement officials have initiated a formal investigation to determine whether Apsar solely orchestrated Mamatha’s tragic death or if other individuals were involved in the ghastly crime.

Islamists in society have not only targeted Hindu minors but also married Hindu women in various instances across the nation. In several cases, Islamists have manipulated Hindu women, coercing them into forced conversion and ultimately resorting to fatal stabbings.
