Indore, MP: Islamist cheats Hindu girl by posing as Hindu businessman; police state Love Jihad charges will be applied

A case of crime against women has come to light in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The police at Lasudia Thana have registered a case against three individuals, including Lucky, alias Albab Khan.

Based on reports, the perpetrator, under the guise of a Hindu businessman, recorded an inappropriate video. Upon discovering the truth from loan documents, the accused, along with his brother and friend, began threatening to tarnish the daughter’s life. Distressed by this, the victim attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills. On Thursday 1 February, accompanied by supporters, the woman approached the police station and filed a case. TI Taresh Soni stated that Love Jihad charges would be applied in the case.

As per police reports, the victim, a 37-year-old proprietor of a ready-made clothing store residing in Sai Shraddha Palace area, had advertised a room for rent on OLX around seven years ago. Lucky, who had come to inspect the room, declined it, stating his dissatisfaction. Subsequently, Lucky obtained the victim’s mobile number and initiated communication.

He claimed to be engaged in wholesale clothing business, suggesting potential profits through buying and selling clothes. The victim and Lucky began meeting for business purposes. According to the victim, he once took her to Hotel Welcome in Saver, pretending to offer a fortunate opportunity. During this encounter, he recorded an objectionable video of the victim.

Three days later, he called again, threatening to publicly share the video, and arranged a meeting at Star Square. During this meeting, discussions about marriage ensued, and he again took her to Welcome Hotel, engaging in physical relations multiple times.

The victim informed the police that she got married in 2004 and has three children. Due to strained relations with her husband, she resides with her children. Lucky obtained all her personal information and began discussing taking care of the children and the possibility of marriage. Recently, when she submitted documents for a loan, she discovered that his name was Albab Khan, not Lucky. Upon revealing this truth, he disclosed, “I am Muslim, but I can keep you too.”

Muslims can marry two or three times. It is indicated that Albab Khan had also mentioned about marrying a Muslim girl on January 7. On January 8, she was summoned to Shiv Om Hotel under the pretext of discussing and deleting the video, but she was coerced into having physical relations against her will. Upon filing a complaint, Lucky’s brother, known as Abrar alias Vicky, and his friend Anas Pathan threatened her.

This recurrence of incidents is alarming for the Hindu community in Indore.
