In a shocking incident, a 72-year-old Muslim man, Sheik Miravali, has been accused of assaulting an 11-year-old Hindu ST girl in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The victim, who resides with her mother’s elder sister, was reportedly assaulted twice by the elderly Muslim man, who is also the grandfather of her playmate.

The minor Hindu girl and her friend, the granddaughter of the accused, often played together. The accused, who sells ice cream for a living, allegedly took advantage of this situation. On one occasion, he asked his granddaughter to stay outside while he took the victim inside his home and sexually assaulted her.

Despite the victim’s pleas to let her go, the accused reportedly ignored her and continued the assault. Out of fear, the victim did not inform her parents about the incident. However, the following day, the accused once again assaulted the minor and threatened her to keep quiet about the incident.

The victim’s friend, witnessing the horrifying incident, informed the victim’s family members. The family immediately reported the incident to the police and demanded justice.

In a weird turn of events, the accused’s family allegedly assaulted their own child, the victim’s friend, in an attempt to hide evidence. They also reportedly verbally abused the victim’s family, using derogatory caste slurs.

The incident has sparked outrage among the local community, which is demanding strict police action against the accused. However, no mainstream media has reported this incident anywhere—the media has not given it the coverage it deserves, with no debates on prime-time news channels and no coverage in the main editions of newspapers.

The victim’s family continues to seek justice against the perpetrator.
