Yet another case of grooming leading to a brutal gang-rape has come to light, this time from Kerala. The modus operandi has become sickeningly obvious by now – befriend a girl on social media (usually using a false identity), lure here into a relationship, then either gang-rape or force her into sex slavery by blackmailing using intimate photos/videos.

In this gang-rape case from Kozhikode, two men have been arrested thus far, while 2 other accused are absconding. As per a Mathrubhumi report –

“Police registered a case against four men for allegedly gang-raping a woman by intoxicating her with liquor and drugs. According to reports, the woman, a native of Kollam was raped at a flat in Chevarambalam here. The police nabbed two people in connection with the case. The duo is identified as Ajnas and Fahadh from Atholi. Police reported that the search for the other two is progressing.

The incident took place on Thursday night.

It is learned that Ajnas who got acquainted with the woman through Tik Tok was in a relationship with her for the last two years. Ajnas invited the woman to Kozhikode and he took her to the flat along with his friend Fahadh.

She was gang raped by Ajnas, Fahad and the other two who were staying in the flat. After the brutal rape, the culprits admitted the survivor to a private hospital and fled from there. Based on the information collected from the hospital authority, police registered a case over the incident.

Police said that the accused have captured the visuals of rape in their mobile phone. For further probe, police will soon take the suspects to the flat where the incident happened.”
