Ghanshyam killed by wife Sultana’s maternal uncle Suleman as he opposed their relationship: Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, a Muslim woman named Sultana married a Hindu man named Ghanshyam after becoming a widow. Unfortunately, after ten months of marriage, Sultana’s maternal uncle, Suleman, murdered Ghanshyam because he disapproved of their relationship. Sultana has two small children.

Sultana’s first husband had passed away three years ago, and unable to care for her kids alone, she decided to marry Ghanshyam. Despite threats from her uncle, they were leading a happy life. However, her uncle’s disapproval took a tragic turn, and Sultana’s husband was killed just ten months into their marriage.

Sultana reported the murder to the police, seeking justice. She mentioned that only her uncle had objections to their marriage. Sultana had a court marriage with Ghanshyam with her mother’s consent.

According to media reports, the police are investigating the case, and action will be taken based on the findings. Sultana believes her husband was killed because she married a non-Muslim, which her uncle disapproved of. Sultana’s mother also mentioned that Suleman disliked her marrying a non-Muslim.

Sultana recalls that on December 13, 2023, her husband came home and vomited. His health deteriorated, and he was taken to the hospital, where he passed away. Before his death, Ghanshyam told Sultana that he had consumed alcohol with Suleman. Despite filing a case a month ago, Sultana feels there has been no progress in the investigation. Now, she is pleading for justice everywhere.
