Sakir, father of 9, traps Hindu widow, says “We will go to Jannat if we convert Hindus, keep more wives”: MP

In another grooming jihad case, Sakir Mohammad duped a Hindu widow by posing as Rajkumar. It has also come to light that Sakir had even pressurised the woman to embrace Islam by blackmailing her using her pornographic clip recorded by him. He threatened to make her video viral if she refused to give in to his demands.

The case has been reported from Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Indore. The victim approached the high court (HC) as the local police station refused to register a complaint. It was only on the orders of the court that the police registered an FIR against the accused.

The widow, who is a Punjabi woman from Shahdol, in her writ petition filed in the HC said that she was staying alone after her husband passed away in an accident four years ago. She stated that she met Sakir Mohammad at the bank where she had gone to acquire a loan after she failed to secure a job.

During their meeting, he introduced himself as Rajkumar and said that he was a widower with a child. He then took advantage of her confidence in him to intoxicate and rape her. He even shot a video of the act that he later used to blackmail her. He would bring the victim home, dress her in a burqa and physically assault her. In addition, after taking her to the madrasa and signing certain Urdu-written paperwork, he began pressurizing her for conversion.

The victim revealed that she protested after learning that Sakir’s wife was still alive. She also came to know he had nine children. Sakir responded by saying having more than one wife was a virtue (sabab) leading one to heaven. He then began forcing her and his young daughter to convert to Islam.

The victim moved to Indore with her daughter where she began residing in the Vijay Nagar police station area in a rented house. He pursued her to Indore and threatened to make her video viral. The victim alleges she went to the women’s police station to file a complaint against the accused. However, she was asked to register an FIR at Shahdol. The woman spoke with several additional policemen, but no one filed a case.

Faced with relentless harassment from Sakir, the victim approached the HC. The HC admonished the police and ordered them to file an FIR. The court order says the victim is not required to report to the police station after registering her complaint with higher authorities. The court further ruled that her statement should be treated as a formal complaint on her behalf, and appropriate action should be taken.
