Fardeen attacked Hindu Girl Pooja with a fodder cutter for turning down his ‘proposal’: U’khand

In Kashipur, a Muslim youth named Fardeen attacked a Hindu girl, Pooja, as she was going to tuition classes from home. She was left bleeding, but nearby people intervened and took her to the hospital. The attacker fled, but the incident was caught on CCTV. He reportedly attacked Pooja for rejecting his love proposal. As per the latest information, Fardeen has been arrested by the police.

Pooja, a 22-year-old B.Com student resident of Mohalla Khalsa, was heading to tuition classes with her sister and another student when Fardeen stopped the three girls and attacked the B.Com student on the head with a fodder cutter near the powerhouse in Mohalla PakkaKot.

Residents took her to LD Bhatt Sub District Hospital, where police arrived to gather information from the victim. Hindu activists demanded the arrest of Fardeen, who has a history of harassing the victim.

Kotwali in-charge Manoj Raturi stated that the accused youth had previously attacked and harassed the student, with three cases registered against Fardeen in 2019, 2021, and 2022 respectively. The victim’s father revealed that his daughter had been harassed before, with no action taken by the police, leading to this tragic incident. Further investigations are ongoing.
