A month after the suicide of a college girl, Chennai City Police arrested three Muslim youths from Kolkata.
The three youths were identified as Amanullah Khan(20), Muhammad Faizal(21) and Muhammad Asif Iqbal(20). They live in the Wattganj locality of Kolkata. They were very much active on the Social media platform Instagram. They allegedly duped a Chennai girl Mahalakshmi promising to give high returns on her investments.
As per information, a month ago of her suicide, the resident of the Seven Walls area, Mahalakshmi, received a message on her Instagram about an investment plan. The statement said an investment of Rs. 750 would get a return of Rs. 23,500. Believing this, she sent them a total of Rs. 37,500.
After several days, when she did not receive any returns or replies, she demanded her principal amount. This time too, she did not get any answers. Saddened by this, on April 2, Mahalakshmi allegedly died by suicide at her house.
According to the police, after investigating the mobile phone of the girl, they came to know about the Instagram conning. Later, the special investigation team went to West Bengal and traced the location of the accused and arrested them.
The arrested three are college graduates and have been duping people on Instagram, promising to give high returns. Till now, they have deceived people about approximately INR 17 to 25 lacs.
Do these people know anything besides love jihad, duping people, killing people, rioting, becoming suicide bomber, etc. What kind of drag this is on our country? We Hindus working hard and educating our kids with good sanskaras, and those kids are duped by these lowlife hoodlums. How sad!
