Blast in illegal firecracker factory run by Tauheed Siddiqui, minor lost his life: UP

An explosion took place in an illegal firecracker factory in a residential area in Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Hardoi. One minor died, and three others were seriously injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital.

It has come to light that Tauheed Siddiqui ran an illegal firecracker factory in the vacant house of his elder brother located in Mohalla Badi Bazar of Gopamau town’s Tadiawan. People living in the area confirmed that anar and other firecrackers were made in the factory. At the time of the incident, 26-year-old Rahul, son of Rajkumar, resident of Mohalla Misrana of the town, and Surendra alias Chhote, resident of Kachnari village, were also working. He died in this accident.

Police investigating the case

According to available information, on Wednesday (25 October) afternoon Tauheed and his two laborers were filling gunpowder in Anar. Meanwhile, an explosion occurred due to the bursting of an Anar. All three were seriously injured. The sound of the loud explosion created chaos in the area.

Illegal Firecrackers were being manufactured

SP Keshav Chandra Goswami said that fireworks were being made for Diwali without a license in the house of Tauheed Siddqui’s son Jumman. Police are investigating this matter in-depth, and further action will be taken accordingly.
