Bihar: Mohd Talif took Preeti to Dubai, converted her to Islam for ‘Nikah’; after 4 years she found he has another wife

“Bihar: Mohd Talif took Preeti to Dubai, converted her to Islam for ‘Nikah’; after 4 years she found he has another wife”, Organiser, May 12, 2023:

“A Dalit Hindu woman who accepted Islam almost four years ago, leaving her family and country behind has become a victim of polygamy. Her husband Mohammad Talif, left her alone for another woman. Police filed a case under sections of the SC-ST Act and IPC 498A.

The victim is identified as 25-year-old Preeti Kumari, a native of Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. Whereas the accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Talif, a resident of Semra village of Motihari in East Champaran, Bihar.

A First Information Report has been registered at the Turkauliya police station in this case. Organiser has accessed the FIR and has also spoken with the Station House Officer. So, far out of the five named accused, the police have arrested four of them….”
