Case registered against Islamist Wasim Ahmed for an obscene audio clip about a Hindu girl: U’khand

An audio clip has surfaced in Rudraprayag, featuring an obscene conversation between Islamist Wasim Ahmed and his friend about a Hindu girl working in a local clothing shop. This has led to protests by various Hindu organizations.

The girl involved has filed a complaint with the police. In response, the police have registered a case against Wasim Ahmed, the owner of a clothing shop near Dal Puliya in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag and have started an investigation.

The audio clip, which has gone viral, captures Ahmed and a friend making inappropriate and obscene comments about the girl. This prompted members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and Durga Vahini to protest outside Ahmed’s shop and at the police station. Following the incident, the accused closed his shop and fled.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Ghildiyal confirmed that a case has been registered. He stated that the audio is under review and assured that strict action will be taken. He also urged the public and Hindu organizations to remain peaceful and not disturb public order.

Leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, including Bharat Rawat and Rajendra Bisht, demanded stringent action against those responsible, arguing that such behaviour is damaging to the environment of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. They have called on the police to ensure justice is served.
